Who is responsible

Listfolk is published by Ruslan Kuksa. For any question about this policy, write to support@listfolk.app.

Your lists

  • Your lists are stored on your iPhone and sync through your own iCloud, under your Apple Account.
  • Lists, items and list activity, meaning who added, collected or changed what, are synced and can be shared.
  • Saved recipes sync only to your private iCloud and are never shared.
  • These stay on your iPhone and never sync: your Assistant conversations, the history that orders your Suggested Items, and your list display and notification settings.
  • Listfolk has no server and keeps no copy of your lists.

Sharing a list

  • Sharing uses Apple’s iCloud sharing. You invite people, or share a link.
  • Everyone on a shared list sees its items, each other’s names, and who added or changed what.
  • The owner can remove people or stop sharing, and anyone can leave the list.

Notifications

  • Notifications are optional, and you turn them on for each shared list.
  • Your iPhone creates them from activity on your shared lists. They contain the list name, a collaborator’s name, and item names and quantities.
  • Listfolk has no notification server.

The Assistant

  • The Assistant uses Apple Intelligence, on your iPhone or on Apple’s Private Cloud Compute. Listfolk sends your requests to no other AI provider.
  • Your conversations are stored only on your iPhone.

Siri

When you use Siri with Listfolk, Apple processes your speech. Listfolk receives only the text it needs, such as the items to add or the name of a new list. Siri then shows or reads out Listfolk’s reply, which can include item and list names.

Analytics

Listfolk counts how the app is used with TelemetryDeck, in App Store and TestFlight builds. It sends three events:

  • A list was started.
  • An item was added, and whether it was typed or came from your suggestions or the built-in catalog.
  • Suggestions were shown, with their kind and a rough count, such as 2–3.

Events never include item or list names, quantities, notes or people.

The TelemetryDeck SDK also sends one event the first time you open the app, and again if you come back after a long break, to count new installs.

The TelemetryDeck SDK, version 2.14.1, adds these details to every event:

  • a random identifier, hashed twice, and an identifier for each session
  • the app and iOS versions, and whether the app came from the App Store or TestFlight
  • the device model, screen size and orientation
  • your language, region, time zone and light or dark appearance
  • accessibility settings, such as text size and Reduce Motion
  • the time and the day of the week
  • usage statistics, such as the number and length of sessions, the day you first used the app and the number of days you’ve used it

This data isn’t used for advertising or to track you across apps, and it’s never sold. The app has no setting to turn analytics off.

Crash reports

Listfolk uses no third-party crash reporting. Crash reports reach the developer only through Apple, and only if you turned on Share With App Developers in Settings.

This website

This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Cloudflare hosts it and keeps standard request logs to deliver and protect it.

Your choices

  • Delete lists and saved recipes in the app.
  • Starting a new conversation in the Assistant deletes the previous one.
  • Manage or delete Listfolk’s iCloud data in Settings, under your Apple Account and iCloud.
  • Deleting the app removes everything it stored on your iPhone.
  • Ruslan Kuksa holds no data linked to you, so there is nothing to request.

Changes

When this policy changes, this page and its date change too. A material change, such as using an AI provider other than Apple, is announced in the app’s release notes before it ships.
